Changing Ways - Nacirema Essay

The differences surrounded by early Nacirema and late Americans be very intriguing. The Nacirema were a society obsess with the economy and maintenance of their bodies. on that point are some Americans who are also obsessed with the preservation and maintenance of their bodies as well. Although the slipway that people have taken care of themselves have changed drastically from so until now, if society as a whole is looked into a little deeper, a coiffeualisation is made; Nacirema and Americans arent so different.\nNacirema people had many physical structure rituals, slightly of which were through privately, and others in which were done with the help of medicine workforce  (Miner 123). Americans have many personate rituals that compare to those of the Nacirema people. Some examples of the ˜new body rituals among Americans are showering, styling their hair, acquiring their nails done, getting waxes, etc.. First, a daily operation of showering, is very common among American people. To shower, Americans stand under rate of flow water and wash themselves from matter to toe; meanwhile, many serial of gestures are involved, just as the Miner had described of the Nacirema people. To mortal from a different goal, the act of showering may seem strange. They big businessman shower in a much different way, such as in a bathtub; hence the relieve oneself ˜bathing.
